Book to Review: Disconnected by Jennifer Weiner

Catagory: Short Stories, Women’s Fiction

Review: Honestly, this book was fine. Good even. But the thing is, short stories are tough to read, and I’m sure tough to write because you can never really be “done” with them in a short + sweet way right?

My problem is that with Disconnected, just as soon as I was getting into it, it was over. I wasn’t able to build up enough interest in the characters and just as soon as something happened, the story was done.

For previous fans of Jennifer Weiner, this story is good. If you love short stories, this would be great for you too. If you’re not in either camp, I would take a pass on this and try one of her other books. My personal suggestions would be Fly Away Home or Good in Bed. I haven’t read either, but know from friends that I trust that they are good “beach” type reads. :)
