Review: Cheese + Cheese + Cheese + Pasta + Toppings = Delicious Mac + Cheese.

But seriously, this is about cheese, pasta, and the beautiful art of it combining into one of America’s favorite comfort foods: Macaroni and Cheese. I don’t know about you, but I consider Macaroni and Cheese one of my favorite foods ever. It combines my favorite things: cheese and carbs. In fact, if I had to give up cheese, well, I would be very sad.

The recipes in here are top-notch and call for high quality cheeses. One of my favorites combines Avocado, Beecher’s Flagship, + lime. The Recipe for Rogue River Blue with Crab Sauce combines delicious blue cheese with crab. There’s a fancy version of Tuna Noodle casserole, and another recipe is served in a pumpkin. Basically, all these recipes are divine and would make me a very plump (yet happy) lady.

Additionally, there’s a lot of really great information about cheese and various pastas, including working with gluten-free pasta. With the holidays right around the corner, this book would make a fantastic gift for a cheese lover or comfort-food-loving chef. Keep in mind though, some of the recipes call for some potentially difficult to find ingredients and may not be suited for a novice home cook or a budget-minded college student.
