Julep Maven Subscription Box Review for November 2013 – Boho Glam

Oh, Julep. How I always look forward to your box showing up in my mailbox each month.

Julep may not be may very favorite formula, but I sure love getting hand-picked nail colors every month. When I try to buy nail color, I buy what I like, and get home and find that I have near dupes. And that just sucks.

Here’s what came this month:

First look, cute packaging, holiday catalog, + inspirational quote.

I went with Boho Glam this month, which included their new Lipgloss in Charming, Alexandra nail polish, Aisha nail polish, + the extra this month was the new Luxe Repair Skin Serum.

The Julep Lipgloss in Charming, described as a sheer mauve gloss. This works very well with my fair skin. I’m tempted to order Posh as well, which was what I was hoping to see in the Boho Glam box.

This month’s nail colors, Aisha + Alexandra.

This is Aisha, it is described as a wild berry purple creme.

This is Alexandra, which is described as a blonde creme. I’d say its more of a ecru than blonde on my fair skin though.

Nail colors in action!

The free extra this month was a sample of the Luxe Repair Skin Serum. I’ve tried this twice, and find its very thin, oily, and doesn’t absorb well, so I can’t wear it under anything. Instead, I’ve used it on lazy days where I’m not wearing make up to give my skin some relief + hydration.

Overall, I really liked my Julep Maven box this month. Both colors were just what I wanted, and I (surprisingly) really liked the lip gloss. I’m generally not a gloss fan.

Julep’s Monthy Maven box costs $19.95 each month, but if you’re new you can get your first box for free (just pay $4.95 shipping) with code “FREEFB”. It’s a great deal, and would also make a great holiday gift!

What was your favorite Julep color this month? If you skipped November, which box are you taking in December? Look forward to reading your picks in the comments!
