Stitch Fix July 2016

Disclosure: This post contains affiliate links. All opinions are my own, and I purchase this subscription myself.

If there were a time for me to be shocked by how time flies, it would most definitely be this month. June escaped so fast, mostly because I spent most of the month packing, moving, cleaning, painting, unpacking, stressing, etc. etc. etc. Can I just say I’m glad for it almost to be over? This month’s Stitch Fix package was a welcome breath of normalcy in my life, though I’ll admit in the hustle and bustle of everything I totally forgot about it.

If you’re a Stitch Fix Newbie, Stitch Fix is a clothing subscription service that you schedule when you want to. For a $20 styling fee (that you can use towards anything in your “Fix”) you’ll receive a box of handpicked clothing, shoes, accessories, or handbags. Pin to your Pinterest board, leave a detailed note and fill out your style profile to get the best possible results. It sometimes takes a few tries for your stylist to get you totally, but when they do, you will love it.

Ultimately my decision on what to keep probably will surprise no one, but read on to find out what I kept this month! Luckily my stylist totally nailed it this month and made my selection process really difficult (but in a good way, of course.)

My stylist noted that this saddle bag bears a striking resemblance to a high-end handbag that’s very popular this season. I’m sure you’ve seen it all over Instagram if you follow some of the bigger fashion bloggers! I love this style of bag – crossbody styles are my favorite, and this size is perfect for summer. The whip stitch detail is something I don’t have on any other bag, and I also don’t have a bag in this color so you know I kept this.

Iced Coffee + Icebreakers

DisclosureStarbucks kindly provided iced coffee + items from their summer collection to me, but all opinions about their yummy iced coffee are my own!

If you know anything about Seattle, then you probably know that we love our coffee. We love it a lot, in fact. So much so, that many mornings the first words out of my mouth have to do with begging for coffee. Maybe a slight exaggeration, but I really can’t function in the morning without coffee. The addiction is real.

When the weather starts getting warmer, I start craving the iced varietal. The stronger, the better, so I was super stoked to find out that Starbucks had released their iced coffee formula at the grocery store in both a fridge size, perfect for many, many glasses full and in the convenient single serving size too, which is perfect to grab on the go. The thing I love about coffee is that it often brings people together. Something about gathering over a cup of coffee feels familiar and so much less scary.

Black + White Summer Travel Outfit

Affiliate Links // Some of the items in this outfit were provided c/o and are labeled as such.

As spring comes to a close and we start seeing signs of summer (oh, you know, like multiple days of 80+ degree weather!) I find myself feeling the urge to  get out and about and explore the city. This year, we have a few extra things on our plate (more on this later, promise!) so we’re not doing any big summer vacations. While I’m not entirely thrilled about that, there’s no reason we can’t do smaller weekend jaunts, which is why I’m really excited to do some staycations here locally, and head up north to Canada for a little Vancouver, B.C. adventure. As the weather heats up, I’ve been inspired to dress in this vacation-ready summer travel outfit.

Is it nerdy of me that one of the things I look forward to most when traveling is outfit planning? I always like to pick items that I think reflect the area I’m visiting best. When we went to Florida last year, I was sure to pack my tropical off the shoulder dress and my Mara Hoffman Sarong that’s full of bright colors. When we went to Paris last summer, I was sure to pack all of the stripes. ;)

We’re All a Little Mad Here

This post was sponsored by HSN through the CJ Affiliate VIP Content Service. As always, all opinions are my own!

Growing up, fairy tales always fascinated me. It’s no wonder; with monsters that transformed into humans, anthropomorphic creatures, and mystical storylines, they really can captivate an audience from young to old. It’s what makes Disney movies some of my all-time favorites still to this day, and why I almost always advocate for seeing a “kids” movie when we go out versus the latest action thriller. Young at heart? Maybe, but mostly, I love getting lost in the story.

HSN Alice Through the Looking Glass Disney Inspired Outfit // Hello Rigby Seattle Fashion Blog

Alice in Wonderland is a great example of a storyline that for me, has improved with age. The unique set of characters, the bizarre world we’re transported to, and those costumes! The costumes are probably my favorite part. It’s no wonder that I was beyond excited to have the opportunity to pick a look from HSN’s recent collection inspired by Disney’s Alice Through the Looking Glass.

Is there anything more fun than coming home to a brand new package from Stitch Fix? I think not! I’m always excited to see what my stylist, Lucy, has selected for me, and this month she brought me another fun warm-weather themed fix. From tunics to cold shoulders, this month’s Stitch Fix was full of fun colors, patterns, and prints.

I’m sure you know the drill by now, but if you’re new to my blog or Stitch Fix, it’s a clothing styling service that you can set up to receive monthly, or at your leisure. You are charged $20 as a styling fee that you can put towards anything you keep from your Fix. You can plan to receive five items – typically four clothing items and one accessory (jewelry or bags, typically) or a pair of shoes!
