Stitch Fix November 2015

Happy November! Of course I kicked off the month with another Stitch Fix. I’m always surprised at when these show up on my door step because it signifies another close to another month. Kind of bittersweet, but with November comes Thanksgiving, and we’re another month closer to Christmas, my favorite holiday of course!

I won’t lie: this month’s Stitch Fix isn’t my favorite. My old stylist, Kim, seems to be MIA and I’m now being styled by Kate. While I think she did a good job of sticking to my style profile and following things I’ve pinned recently, I just am not blown away by any one piece. You’ll have to give me your feedback in the comments below, as I still have one more day to consider keeping any of the items! Without further ado, onto this month’s Stitch Fix!

60s Mod Makeup & Costume

With Halloween just a few days away, I planned one last costume that you could throw together at the last possible second, or use for a future themed costume party! It’s a Twiggy-inspired 60s mod makeup look, topped off with a couple of key pieces that you can either quickly make or already own.

DIY 60s Mod Makeup Tutorial & Costume

With no time to waste, let’s jump into the makeup look! When googling images of Twiggy, I noticed that her makeup often looked a bit messy and unblended. The  good news? Any skill level can create this look! There are a lot of steps you can leave out depending on what products you already own too.

70s Revival: Flare Jeans Outfit

Affiliate Links: If you click on a link in this post, I may make a very small commission.

Greetings from the other coast! We’re adventuring around Florida today, so I’m not exactly dressing like my usual Pacific-Northwest-fall-loving self. Feels a little funny to be posting this outfit that would be far too warm to be wearing here (hello, humidity!) However, there’s only so much you can do while traveling. Today I’m actually wearing a lot of color, and I’m sweating my face off. Err… I mean looking super glam and drinking cocktails on the beach! Don’t worry, I’ve got a serious amount of sunscreen on. This pale princess is staying full on ghostly. ;)

DIY Willy Wonka Costume

I’ve loved the original 1970s Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory movie for about as long as I can remember. From the silly songs, memorable characters, and the amount of delicious looking sweets, for me, it’s a classic. I initially thought about dressing up like Veruca Salt, my favorite character, however, there’s nothing more memorable than Willy Wonka himself! I decided to put a feminine spin on this classic costume (without the sexy that the packaged versions go for). This DIY Willy Wonka Costume is made up of pieces that you may already have in your closet, plus a few things that can easily be found at your favorite thrift store.

Parisian Combat Boot Outfit

The fact that October is almost over is giving me a little bit of anxiety. Honestly, how is it almost Halloween? Is it really almost November? These are all realizations I had this weekend so I won’t lie; I’m in panic mode this week. I even realized yesterday, while I was supposed to be relaxing during my every-other-month facial, that I forgot to rent us a car for our Miami trip coming up. Yep, hot mess express. Oops.
