Cute & Comfortable Outfits for Thanksgiving

Who likes to be comfortable on Thanksgiving? This girl. And probably you too. My family (and Dave’s family too) aren’t the type to host fancy get-togethers. The food is just as good when you’re wearing glorified sweat pants as it is when you’re all gussied up, which is why my preference is comfortable outfits for every holiday.

Now, with that said, it doesn’t mean that I dress dumpy or lazily. I still use holidays as an excuse to get a new sweater, piece of jewelry, or rock a shoe that I don’t wear every day. Last year I wore a mix of casual and fun with a pop of bling. This year, I’m not 100% sure which of these three outfits I’m going to wear, but all are equally good options. Well, it’s that time of year again. No, not the holidays. (Well, not yet anyways!) I’m talking about the rainy season. It has officially hit Seattle. Puddles puddles everywhere, and again I’m puzzled as to how to dress. Waking up and seeing the sun shining is quite misleading when it’s raining within the next hour. (And it always seems to start up right as you’re hitting the freeway to the office… without a coat.) As much as I love Seattle, and it’s beautiful spring and summer weather, playing the fall and winter dressing game is always fun. Or something.

Are you always pinched for time in the morning? I know I am, and when it comes to the holidays, I typically have even more on my plate and the last thing I want to worry about is making extra time to do my hair. For me, the important thing with attending any holiday party is for my hair to look polished and put together, even if I am rushing straight from the office. No one else needs to know that!

The struggle for time is real, so if I know I have an event to go to right after work, this day to night holiday hair style truly saves me so much time. Saturday Morning Routine

Even though my weekends are often jam packed with catching up with friends and family, running errands, shooting photos and writing blog posts, there’s nothing like indulging in a relaxing morning routine to start the day off. Fall Eye Makeup Looks with ABH Shadow Couture Palette

I waffled back and forth about whether I was going to post these looks today. I originally was going to post this last week, and to my horror, realized that this palette became out of stock at every single store after I photographed these looks. What on earth are the chances?! So, with that said, if you like any of these looks, every shade is available in a full size for $12 at Macy’s, or 4 for $40 plus they also will throw in a quad to hold them for you. Additionally, Anastasia Beverly Hills has released the Self Made Palette, which is also limited addition and has a similar mix of warm tones and bold color.
