What I Bought in July

If I’m honest, I totally overspent this month. Between the trip to Paris and London, I stocked up on way too many beauty products that would take me hours to locate online… so I will save that for another post. Ironically, I didn’t end up with much in terms of new clothes this month, even despite my shopping in Europe. Even the temptation of the #NSale didn’t end up panning out – most of what I ordered was a dud and got sent back. I did, however, stock up on some basics like bras and underwear (which I also don’t count into my budget, because these things are necessary.) I highly suggest checking those items out in case you’re in need as well.

Anyways – onward with what I did end up buying, returning, and receiving in July!

Happy Friday! I can’t be the only one who’s felt like this week just dragged on and on, right? This weekend isn’t going to be that exciting, but my goal is to get our home office all set up… which also includes my brand new makeup vanity and storage. Insert squeal here. I’ve been dying for space to “get ready” forever and am so glad it’s almost reality!

Emerald Cuff Seattle Clothing Subscription Review & Styling // hellorigby seattle fashion blog

Speaking of brand new… You guys know my love for clothing “subscription” services already, so when I received an email from Emerald Cuff, I couldn’t wait to check it out. They’re a brand new, local, Seattle-based operation, and the brainchild of 3 moms who wanted to create something for busy women – be it a career gal, a fellow mom, or a #girlboss. Unlike other clothing services (compared to say Stitch Fix or DailyLook Elite Box), Emerald Cuff releases new collections every month that you can choose from. This is not an automatic charge, and you do not need to opt out.

Happy Friday!

Do you ever dream up an outfit in your head that you think will be the cutest thing ever and then put it on, and it looks awful? Yeah, I had that kind of situation. I was originally going to wear a kimono and patterned shorts with this top and necklace but… it looked terrible. In my brain, it still looks super cute. In real life, nope. So, when in doubt change it up!

Denim & Polka Dots

Product Sample: Complimentary foot cover samples were provided to me in exchange for this styling.

No lie, it has been incredibly difficult getting back into the swing of things this week. Between being on a different time zone and catching a cold our last day in Paris, my sleeping schedule has been all sorts of screwed up. While I’ve been making it through the work day just fine, at night my bedtime is now around 9 pm. Let’s just say it makes my late night blogging habit super hard to accomplish!

One Dress, Three Ways

Today I have Brittany from The Lady Lawyer here to share a fun fashion post on how to wear one dress three ways! Brittany writes about all the fun things in life – fashion, food, beauty, and also her cute pups! I’m loving that she’s sharing a way to style a dress shape that almost everyone already has in their closet. Want to find out how she’s styling this little red number? Read on!

I’m so excited to be guest posting today and show you one of my favorite dresses and how I make the most of it! When I find a piece that I love I find every possible way to wear it. I have been wearing this red Madewell dress on repeat since getting it. The mark of a good dress is its ability to transition into different parts of your life.
