I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving yesterday! We were lucky enough to be treated to a killer dinner by Dave’s grandma and family, and have another Thanksgiving feast planned with my side of the family on Sunday. While I wish I could still say I was still full from dinner, I’d be lying because I definitely came home and had a snack last night. Oops.

November 22, 2014Do you ever sit down to do something, and just come up blank? Pretty sure that’s how I’m feeling today. Not sure if it’s because I missed my coffee this morning, my pounding right side headache that made a reappearance, or what, but I’m just feeling off my game today.
I sat down to write, and I got nothing. It’s like radio silence in my head.
The only thing I can think of lately is how much I have to do. It’s a week until Thanksgiving, and I’ve got nothing figured out to bring. I’ve also yet to look at any Black Friday ads. This is way out of the norm for me. (Actually, it’s probably better that way… I’m already over budget this month.)
3 Ways to Wear a Triangle Scarf
November 13, 2014I used to not really wear many scarves. Then I moved to the coldest place I’ve ever lived (Pullman, WA) for school and I about died. Give me all the scarves, I said.
Since then, I’ve added a few new ones each year to my arsenal. They keep my neck warm. They’re cute. They make accessorizing an outfit super easy since you basically don’t need to wear jewelry.
When my friend Stef mentioned she was going to start up her Etsy shop again, I was really excited. I don’t know anyone who has enough time to be able to make me scarves, and there are so many sellers to choose from on Etsy that I get overwhelmed and close the window. She’s really talented, and even offers to make custom pieces!
She sent me over this fun fringy triangle scarf, mentioning that though she loves the style, a lot of her customers just don’t know how to style them. So, challenge accepted. Here are three ways I styled her Autumn Triangle Scarf. Give her some love on Etsy, won’t you? And just for this month, Stef is offering free shipping on anything in her store! Hurry, this offer expires on November 30th!

Holiday Party Outfits Under $100

So, since this is my first real holiday season of blogging, I figured I’d jump on the bandwagon of holiday guides. I thought I’d try to stick to topics I truly struggle with myself, in hopes that I’ll be able to make someone’s busy holiday season just a little easier.
My first guide is going to be party dresses! It’s one of the hardest things to shop for in my humble opinion. I always have an idea in mind of what I want, yet half the time when I go dress shopping in stores, I can’t find a thing. If I can make any recommendation to you, it’s to order several holiday dresses and order them now, so you don’t have to deal with the mall. Seriously, it’s the worst.

Thrifty Thursday: Oversized Sweater Outfit
November 6, 2014I’ve had so much fun thrift shopping the past few months with Seattle Goodwill. I’ve found some really great pieces (enough to make two oversized sweater outfits… my favorite fall staple!) that have incorporated well into my wardrobe, and I’ve rekindled my love of the thrift. Now, as much as I love a good thrift find… I’m sure you’ve been burned before. I know I have. And I almost got burned with something in this very outfit. Have you ever found the perfect vintage item only to get it home and realized… it’s not so perfect? Like maybe you get a certain pair of boots home and a certain liner falls out? Yeah that would never happen…
