I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving yesterday! We were lucky enough to be treated to a killer dinner by Dave’s grandma and family, and have another Thanksgiving feast planned with my side of the family on Sunday. While I wish I could still say I was still full from dinner, I’d be lying because I definitely came home and had a snack last night. Oops.

A Big Reveal… & Giveaway
November 26, 2014No, I’m not pregnant. But I did change-up my hair a bit. If we’re being honest, this is my first time ever getting my hair colored in a salon, and I was so excited when SEVEN the Salon reached out to see if I’d be interested in trying something new with my hair and blogging about it. The last time I had my hair colored, it ended up being a disaster after it faded and basically was orange.
Disclosure: Hair services and products were received in exchange for this blog post. All opinions are my own!
I arrived at the Pacific Place location of SEVEN the Salon and instantly felt at ease. The hip salon offers robes to wear over your clothes to be sure you don’t get any hair gunk on them, complimentary beverage (they made me a Peppermint Mocha, yum!), and they spin tunes while you get your hair done. It’s a fun atmosphere, and different from most any salon I’ve ever been to.

October 28, 2014Press Sample
Several months ago I wrote a guest post for The Grits Blog about what’s in my makeup bag. Some things have changed since then, so I thought it would be fun to do a little product update and show you what I’ve been using these days!
To be perfectly honest, my makeup bag changes often. As you’ve seen, I get enough subscription beauty bags and boxes to make me constantly change-up my daily products, but these items are things that tend to stick around month to month, and that I truly love. Read on to find out some of my current make up faves.

What I Put On My Face
September 26, 2014…Or I could title this seriously and call it “My Favorite Skin Care Products for Acne Prone Dry Skin.” But that’s less fun, so I’m leaving it.
And yeah, you read that right, this acne suffering chick has dry skin, not an oil slick. As my esthetician (the fancy name for Lexi, my girl at skoah where I get facials) tells me, its the dry skin that’s at least partially responsible for my break outs and clogged pores. Awesome, right?
But in all seriousness, I thought it’d be fun to share my favorite skin care, because some of these items have saved my life (slight exaggeration) and made me much happier come that special time of the month.
Full disclosure, I did receive one of these items as a press sample, but I was not paid to write this post, just asked to review it. But because straight up product reviews are boring and I’ve had my daily skin care regimen in my drafts for awhile, I figured now was as good as time as any to share it. :)

Pros and Cons of Raw Dog Food Vlog
September 22, 2014Rigby’s hanging out on the blog today… well, technically he’s vlogging with me! (And hating it, by the way. He’s kind of a diva.) We’re sharing our experiences with feeding raw dog food, and why we chose to make the switch away from kibble. Plus, our friends at I and love and you sent us some of their dehydrated raw food to try (and they’ve definitely won Rigby over with some of their recipes!)
