luxury on demand

Editor’s Note: Unfortunately, Luxury on Demand is no longer in business.

i was invited last week to meet Jesica Milton of Luxury On Demand to tour her showroom and talk spring fashion trends. what girl would say no to that, right?

Luxury on Demand Seattle Showroom / hello, rigby!

Luxury on Demand is a new way to consign – Jesica personally hand selects all items in her boutique for the best possible online shopping experience. she also offers local pick up services, closet clean outs, and in person shopping at her showroom in downtown Seattle. she got her start in fashion as a designer herself, then later on as a seller on eBay. she quickly found a passion in picking designer goods that she would love to own herself. loyal shoppers followed her to Luxury on Demand, and her business has continued to grow as she takes on new clients daily. button up + pleats

so after spending way too much money at Nordstrom’s half yearly sale for women, i’m here to show you what i wore that i did not get at the sale. ;) i really love wearing flowing skirts like this, they’re fun to twirl in (when no ones paying attention, because i feel like you can only get away with that if you’re under the age of 8) and super airy for warmer days, which surprisingly we’ve had quite a few of so far this season!

Phillip Lim For Target button up + Pleated skirt / hello, rigby!

julep may 2014 / beauty box

i’ve been a Julep subscriber for several months now, and May’s box was totally different from anything i’ve received before. several months ago, Julep asked current “mavens” (their fancy name for subscribers) to crowdfund this box to “secure” our place in line and make sure they had enough to pay for a brand new product, the julep-plie-wand-jeanne-nail-polish-swatch

Cork & Click Photography Class Review

A couple of weekends ago, my friend Sarah and I found ourselves in Woodinville for a little wine and photography class. Yep, you read that right. Cork & Click Photography Classes teach photographers of all ages in the Seattle area, and while you learn, you get to sip wine. It sounds like the perfect way to learn if you ask me!

After discovering Cork & Click Photography classes, reading more about founder Christiana, and finding a great deal on Groupon, we signed right up!

Cork and Click Photography Class Review

Cork and Click Photography Class Review

Christiana of Cork and Click offers photography classes that are friendly to photographers of all skill levels. Some attendees had some photography experience. Others had never touched their cameras. And then a few of us were just a little rusty on some of the technical aspects and wanted to brush up.

We started off going over the basics like ISO, shutter speed, and aperture. I think sometimes we forget half of learning is to actually practice these things! As seen above, we did a fun little demo with pouring wine to practice shutter speed to capture motion.

coral + warby parker / outfit of the day

what on earth is that big blinding thing in the sky? is that the sun? a rare sighting in seattle has been making appearances this week. i had to dust off my sunglasses last week and promptly put them away after it began raining again, but this week it’s been nothing but the good stuff. it’s been in the 70s and 80s all week and i’m loving it.
