Do you subscribe to the idea that you shouldn’t wear white after Labor Day? Honestly, I’ve neer been a big fan of this concept. I’m definitely not one to wear white on white outfits too often, however, if I decided I wanted to in October, why shouldn’t I?! Usually by October I’m living in skinny jeans, boots, flannels, and jackets with hoods to be fair. I mean, I do live in the nation’s supposedly rainy city. (It’s not. Mobile, Alabama gets more rain than Seattle!)

How I Accidentally Bought A Fake Naked Palette

Yep, you read that right. I bought a counterfeit makeup. A fake Naked palette, to be exact. It came with the best of intentions, but that’s what happen when you assume, incorrectly, that you’re buying from a legit source. To be fair, after hitting “order now” I had my doubts. But when I tweeted this out, I’d already purchased it, and it was too late:

If only I had known what I really would be receiving was potentially dangerous.

Stitch Fix September Review (& Giveaway)

Affiliate Links: If you click a link below, I may receive a credit if you sign up. I pay for this subscription.

I try to shoot to get a Stitch Fix every other month, however with two weddings in the next two months, I thought I’d schedule an extra one to see if they could help me out. I absolutely hate special occasion dress shopping. Is it just me or every time you have an event to attend suddenly no stores seem to have your size or any reasonable dress options?! I’ve had this happen with multiple weddings and Christmas parties and it never ceases to frustrate me.

Unfortunately for me, neither dress Stitch Fix sent this month worked out. In fact, I’d say this was my worst fix to date. I liked the idea of the items. However, the fit was terrible on every item I received. The saving grace was the necklace. I already own something almost identical, but lucky for you I still kept it so I wouldn’t lose the styling fee. One of you will be able to win it down below! ;)Stitch Fix September 2015 Review & Styling // hellorigby seattle fashion blog

12 Fall Lipsticks to Rock (& How to Get Whiter Teeth to Confidently Wear ‘Em!)

If I’m honest, one of my hesitations in wearing bold and vampy lip colors, especially of the red variety, is my lack of perfectly white teeth. I love all the wrong things to maintain white teeth: coffee, tea, wine, and chocolate. I’m not about to give those up, so I’ve tried a variety of whitening options in the past. While I do think some have worked, a lot of time it’s either too much extra work or takes too long to see results. What can I say, I want results now!Crest 3D White Brillance Toothpaste System Review & Results // hellorigby seattle beauty blog
Today I thought I’d share my 12 lip colors I’m excited to rock for fall, and share the new Crest 3D White Brillance Toothpaste System I’ve added to my beauty routine to get whiter teeth. Don’t get me wrong: my teeth aren’t about to be glowing in the dark, but in less than a week of use I’ve noticed a huge improvement, especially with the stains around the gum line that really drive me nuts!

12 Lip Colors to Rock this Fall

Okay, I know 12 colors sounds like a lot… no one really needs as much lipstick or gloss as I own, but the idea is to pick a color from each group that you want to try for fall. I’ve tried to include a mix of high-end and drugstore. No need to break the bank when you’re trying something new, right?
