The Golden Girls Sweater

Well, I finally bit the bullet. I bought a tripod. I really didn’t want to, as I always feel like tripod shots just don’t feel the same. But you know what? I don’t think they’re that bad. While the location isn’t stellar (sorry, I only had a few minutes before work… #notamorningperson) things can only go up from here. I promise to not post sucky tripod shots too often, but when it starts getting dark in the morning and at 4pm, no promises.

In other news, I’m kind of obsessed with this sweater. Dave calls it my “Golden Girls Sweater.” He’s so sweet.But really, I think that’s quite the compliment, considering Golden Girls would probably make my top 20 TV shows of all time. October Clothing Budget

I swear I say this every month, but I really can’t believe October is just about over. I won’t lie, I’m getting excited for my favorite holidays… Thanksgiving and Christmas, of course. I like Halloween, but I feel like when you don’t have kids and are too old for trick-or-treating and kind of over the party scene, it’s not quite as fun.

Anyways, enough about holidays (though admittedly, it does relate to budgets. I mean, I basically blow all of mine on Black Friday yearly…) because the real reason we are here today is to look at what I bought with my clothing budget last month.

5 Places for Great Activewear

I don’t think it’s a big secret that I enjoy exercising as much as I enjoy getting my teeth drilled (which luckily has only happened once, and I no longer have those teeth so…) But what I do love is wearing work out clothes as soon as I get home from work. Don’t lie, I know you know what I mean. You get home, and the first, second, or third thing you do is strip off the uncomfortable bras and skinny jeans and into something… well, actually it is kind of tight, but in a much more forgiving and comfortable way. Yes, I’m talking about yoga pants.

No, I don’t do yoga. Not yet anyways.

But I can pretend in my yoga leggings that I basically live in on the weekends and have even figured out how to add into my rotations for work wear. With the cold season upon us, I figured now is as good as time as any to share my secrets for where I find my trusty leggings, yoga or otherwise, and for when I am dragged to the gym by certain people who shall not be named, what I like to wear.

Fall Fashion Must Haves

The life of a fashion blogger is not easy when it starts getting dark at 6pm and you have a full-time job… and you leave the office at 6pm. Clearly I am not used to this mayhem, and thus have no photos of my own for you today. But, now that I know, I’m going to try to better plan in advance. Can’t it just get dark at 8pm year round? I like that better.

But, I’ve been shopping a lot as usual (though not actually spending much of my own money, I’ve actually been doing pretty good this month!) and have a round-up of some of my favorite items that really scream “FALL!” to me. Continue reading →
