Black Maxi Dress for Fall

Affiliate Links: If you click on a link in this post, I may make a very small commission. A few items in this outfit were gifted by Emerald Cuff.

I’m loving that the 70s are back this fall and I feel like I’m channeling my bohemian side with this long, flowing maxi dress and my military green fedora. The long crystal and leaf necklaces play into that vibe as well. What I love is how easy it is to wear maxi dresses for fall with the help of a few key pieces and accessories.

Last week, Seattle’s Eastside neighbor, Bellevue, celebrated fashion week. Every year, Bellevue hosts several fashion shows, parties, and free events celebrating fashion. I was honored to be invited by a local company, jcoco chocolates, to attend Bellevue Fashion Week’s Posh Party benefitting Bellevue LifeSpring on their behalf.

Fashion Diaries // Fashion First Seattle 2015

Affiliate Links: If you click a link below, I may receive a small commission.

Last Friday some of us in the fashion community got extra dolled up to attend Seattle’s 12th annual Fashion First Seattle Fashion Show benefitting the Crescent Moon Foundation and the Inspire Youth Project. By the end of the night, over $100,000 was raised for charity! It was also fun to put several names to faces in real life and catch up with other blogger friends. And of course, see some great runway looks! The styles ranged from fall and winter wear to swimwear.

The subscription box love runs deep around here. The beginning of the month marked the receipt of my Box of Style from The Zoe Report. Later in the month came the usual suspects: Birchbox and Ipsy. I also received Julep Maven again because… oops, I forgot to cancel. I lucked out again with a box that’s totally usable.

So, let’s get on with it shall we? The goods right this way…

LC Lauren Conrad Runway Collection: Shopping Guide & Try On

Affiliate Links: If you click on a link in this post, I may make a very small commission. I purchased the items featured in this post.

In all my posts on blogging, this is the first time I’ve ever purchased pieces from a collection and tried them on at home for the purpose of the blog. Well, let’s be honest, it’s mostly to quell my own curiosity. I don’t think it’s a big secret that I’m a fan of Lauren Conrad. And when it comes to fashion, I love her budget-friendly line at Kohl’s, LC Lauren Conrad. This year she showed her very first collection at New York Fashion Week and live streamed it on Periscope. Then immediately following the show, the collection was available for purchase at Kohls.com.

Obviously I jumped right on that, and my items arrived last week. I photographed me trying everything on this weekend and thought I’d give you my honest review and fit details on each piece I was interested in from the collection. I’d love to hear your thoughts if you purchased anything from her collection too!
