Seattle’s New Flower Delivery Service: Petal City & Giveaway!

Product Sample: Complimentary flowers were provided to me in exchange for this review.

When Emma, owner of new Seattle flower delivery service, Petal City, emailed me asking if she could send me a gorgeous bouquet of flowers, I really couldn’t say no. I mean, is there a woman out there who hates receiving flowers? I think not.

Conveniently, these brightened my day before I got my wisdom teeth out. I had been a stress mess all day and having Emma pop by with these beauties, and an infectious smile made me feel better. And that’s just why Emma does it. In her words: “The best part of Petal City is connecting with our customers. As soon as they see the flowers, their eyes light up, and they’re instantly overjoyed. I’m often enveloped in a hug immediately. What better job could there possibly be?”

Local Last Minute Mother’s Day Finds

Product Discount/Sample: Discounts and samples were provided to me by Seattle Premium Outlets for attending this event. Affiliate Links: If you click a link below, I may make a very small commission.

Am I the only one that procrastinates on purchasing gifts for their parents? Because the older I’ve gotten, the harder it has been to shop for them. (Sorry, Mom!) Really though, they have everything they need, and for the most part just buy things when they want to. Puts a lot of pressure on me to find just the right gift, so lately I’ve gone the boring route and suggested a dinner or lunch out.

Clarins Skin Care at Seattle Premium Outlets during the Indulge Event / hellorigby seattle beauty blog

That only can happen so often, so I set off to the Seattle Premium Outlets this weekend to check out the Indulge Event and see what the outlets had to offer. I was pleasantly surprised; there were a lot of the stereotypical sets of lotions and skin care (which yes, I do like, but often is one of those gifts that my Mom doesn’t always) but a lot of unique ideas too.

Seattle Food Tours Blogger Meetup

A couple of weekends back, I ventured downtown despite some insane traffic (due to all the events happening that weekend and lane closures) to meet up with a group of bloggers for the Seattle Food Tours at Pike Place Market! Of course this post is also timely because I just shared where to eat, shop, and what to do in Seattle at Have Need Want. Talk about kismet, right?

Our adventure began in the heart of Pike Place Market, hearing the history of how it began, how it almost was destroyed, and how the people of the city resurrected it. It’s one of my favorite places to recommend to new visitors to Seattle. From the farmers to the artisans to the amazing food available in just a few steps in every direction, Pike Place has it all.

Getting Sweaty at City Sweats Seattle

Complimentary Service: Complimentary services were provided in exchange for this review. All opinions are my own.

Have you ever heard of a… sweat spa? Because that’s how I spent my Saturday two weekends ago. I had my usual every-other-month facial, then popped over to visit City Sweats Seattle in the beautiful Madison Park Neighborhood where I was treated to a Lymphatic Drainage Treatment and Infrared Sauna Treatment. Just say yes to sweat, I say!

Three Years

…Or how we met, and ironically I’m the one who still can’t figure out which day is our “dateiversary.”

Dave and I have been together for three years. I haven’t actually talked about our relationship much, if at all, on the blog because… well, that’s not really what I write about. We’re not married, so I’m not about to give anyone marriage advice. (And even if we were, I highly doubt you’d want it. I’m far from perfect.) And he’s not necessarily the biggest fan of being subject of any blog posts, so I usually try to keep him out of it. He’s nice enough and obliges me sometimes though. ;)  Continue reading
