The interim between the end of winter and the true start of spring can be a tricky time for dressing. Face Serum: It’s Not Just For Old People

Press Sample
It’s not often that I do straight up product reviews anymore. In fact, I don’t remember the last time I did a review that wasn’t in some listicle type format. BUT, I’m finally a grown-up skin care lady – I’ve already adopted eye cream (last year) and now I’ve adopted serum too! I was one of those doubters… thinking eye cream was for “old people”, and I lumped serums in there too.

What was I thinking. Eye cream and serum are to prevent you from looking old! Duh.

So, now I’ve brought serum into my skin care “wardrobe” if you will, and I don’t know why I didn’t try it sooner. Don’t be fooled by the (low) price, this NeoCell Collagen Serum is pretty awesome. And the NeoCell Refreshing Herbal Mist is fantastic too. Read on to find out why I’ll continue to use these items!

Last weekend, Dave took me to Salish Lodge and Spa in Snoqualmie for a little weekend getaway. I’ve mentioned it before, but generally we prefer “experience” gifts, and we always try to plan something for each other for birthdays. (Like when we went to Lummi Island last summer for Dave’s.)

What I Read: February

February was a short month, but that didn’t mean I didn’t get my read on. Sure, I didn’t complete as many as in January (I also didn’t take a week off for vacation!) but I still made more progress on my reading goal this year. If you’re new here, that’s 150 books. I’m currently 3 books ahead, but unfortunately in February I read quite a few duds. (And continue to have this problem into March… yeesh.) But, that doesn’t mean that I won’t tell you all about them! ;)

#StartBetter by Saying Yes & Giveaway

For most of my life, I have been the cautious one. I wouldn’t say no, but I wouldn’t say yes either. Instead, I would hesitate.

Don’t get me wrong, I still do. I’m not always the most decisive. Ask me to pick a restaurant and I’ll deflect for you to choose. Ask me my opinion about which restaurants in Seattle are the best, and you’ll get a totally different answer. I don’t like to make decisions, but I’m probably too opinionated for my own good.
