Bertolli Pasta Sauce for Valentine's Day Dinner

Baked Rosa Farfalle with Spinach and Mushrooms

Get the pasta you crave, plus a serving of hidden veggies! This baked pasta dish combines farfalle, spinach, mushrooms, fresh basil, and creamy Rosa Sauce. Top it with cheese and serve with a side salad or warm bread!

Ingredients

1/4 tsp salt

2 lbs farfalle pasta

2 Tbsp Bertolli Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

6 ounces baby spinach

10 ounces cremini mushrooms, sliced

1 jar Bertolli Alfredo with Aged Parmesan Cheese

1 jar Bertolli Traditional Marinara with Italian Herbs & Fresh Garlic Sauce

1/2 cup fresh basil leaves, torn

1/4 cup grated Parmesan (for garnish)

Valentines Day Meals

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Bring large pot of water to a boil, salt the water, and cook the pasta to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  3. Preheat the skillet and add olive oil. Add cremini mushrooms to the skillet and sauté on medium heat for about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add spinach to skillet. Cook until spinach wilts and mushrooms are golden brown, or around 1-2 minutes.
  5. In a saucepan on low, add each each jar of Bertolli Pasta Sauce. Stir together and heat until well combined.
  6. In a casserole dish, layer pasta, vegetables, and half of the torn basil leaves. Top with sauce. Mix together until well combined.
  7. Sprinkle casserole with remaining basil leaves and grated Parmesan. Then, bake in the oven for 25-35 minutes, or cheese is melted and dish is bubbly.

Rosa Sauce with Bertolli Marinara and Alfredo Sauces

Rosa Shrimp & Asparagus with Spaghetti

Ingredients

1/4 tsp salt

2 lbs spaghetti

1/2 tsp dried oregano

1/2 tsp dried basil

10 ounces peeled, deveined shrimp

2 Tbsp Bertolli Mild Olive Oil, divided

1/4 cup onion, minced

1 bunch of asparagus, cut to lengths

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 jar Bertolli Alfredo with Aged Parmesan Cheese

1 jar Bertolli Traditional Marinara with Italian Herbs & Fresh Garlic Sauce

4 fresh basil leaves (for garnish)

1/4 cup grated Parmesan (for garnish)

Directions

  1. Bring large pot of water to a boil, salt the water, and cook the pasta to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Sprinkle salt, oregano, and basil over shrimp and toss to coat.
  3. Preheat the skillet and add olive oil. Add shrimp to the skillet and sauté on medium heat in a single layer. Cook about 1 minute on each side, or until shrimp is no longer translucent. Remove from pan and set aside.
  4. Add remaining 1 tbsp olive oil and sauté over medium high heat, stirring occasionally, until onion begins to sweat translucent, around 1-2 minutes.
  5. Add asparagus to onion and cook 2 minutes, or until it begins to soften around edges.
  6. Add garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.
  7. Add each jar of Bertolli Pasta Sauce to pan along with shrimp. Heat 1-2 minutes, and toss with pasta to coat.
  8. Garnish with fresh basil and Parmesan and serve.

Creamy Rosa Caprese Gnocchi with Blistered Tomatoes

Date night done right with creamy Rosa Sauce on top of perfectly cooked potato gnocchi! The juicy tomatoes on top make each bite even more mouth-watering than the last.

Ingredients

3 Tbsp Bertolli Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

2 packages (16-oz each) ready-to-cook potato gnocchi

2 pints grape tomatoes, halved

3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced

3 cups packed baby spinach leaves

1 jar Bertolli Alfredo with Aged Parmesan Cheese

1 jar Bertolli Traditional Marinara with Italian Herbs & Fresh Garlic Sauce

8 ounces mini fresh mozzarella balls (pearls)

1/2 cup Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, grated

1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, torn

2 Tbsp Calabrian chili oil (optional)

Directions

  1. Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a deep 12-inch nonstick skillet on medium-high heat. Gently separate gnocchi and add to pan; stir gently to coat with oil. Cook, undisturbed, until bottoms are golden brown. Cook until browned on both sides. Transfer to baking sheet or large platter.
  2. Heat remaining olive oil in same skillet on medium-high heat. Add tomatoes and garlic. Cook until tomatoes begin to shrivel and blister. Add both sauces and spinach to skillet; stir until spinach is wilted.
  3. Return gnocchi to skillet. Reduce heat to medium. Add cheeses; cook until heated through. Serve immediately, topped with fresh basil and chili oil, if desired.

Make Your Own Pizza

Ingredients

2 pre-made pizza crusts

1 jar Bertolli Alfredo with Aged Parmesan Cheese

1 Jar Bertolli Traditional Marinara with Italian Herbs & Fresh Garlic Sauce

2 cups mozzerella, shredded

Your favorite pizza toppings (I’ll share a couple of our favorite combos below!)

4-6 fresh basil leaves, torn (for garnish)

Directions

  1. Prepare pizza crusts according to package directions and preheat oven. Set aside.
  2. In mixing bowl, combine both jars of Bertolli Sauces to create Rosa Sauce.
  3. Top pizza crusts with Rosa Sauce, then cover with cheese.
  4. Add your favorite pizza toppings to prepared crusts. Some of our favorites:
    1. Pepperoni or chicken sausage, mushrooms, black olives, green peppers
    2. Prosciutto with pears or apples and goat cheese
    3. Roasted tomatoes, fresh basil, olive oil and balsamic drizzle
    4. Chicken sausage, roasted red peppers, spinach, fresh basil
  5. Cook pizza according to package directions on crusts, or 10-12 minutes at 450 degrees and cheese is melted.

Sausage, Pepper, and Onions with Creamy Rosa Polenta

A hearty dish topped with creamy Rosa Sauce is the perfect comfort meal for an at-home date night.

Ingredients

1 1/2 pounds Italian chicken sausage, sliced

2 Tbsp Bertolli Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

3 medium red, orange, or yellow bell peppers, thinly sliced

1 large red onion, thinly sliced

8 ounces sliced cremini mushrooms

2 cups uncooked instant polenta

1 jar Bertolli Alfredo with Aged Parmesan Cheese

1 jar Bertolli Traditional Marinara with Italian Herbs & Fresh Garlic Sauce

1/4 cup shaved Pecorino Romano cheese

1/4 cup chopped fresh basil

Directions

  1. Heat oil in large skillet on medium-high heat. Add sausage; cook, tossing occasionally until lightly browned. Add vegetables to the pan; cook until crisp-tender, stirring occasionally.
  2. Meanwhile, prepare polenta in medium saucepan as directed on package. Stir in 1 cup Alfredo sauce; keep warm.
  3. Add marinara and remaining Alfredo sauce to vegetables in skillet; mix well. Cook until heated through. Serve vegetable mixture over polenta. Top each serving with cheese and basil.
