I try to shoot to get a Stitch Fix every other month, however with two weddings in the next two months, I thought I’d schedule an extra one to see if they could help me out. I absolutely hate special occasion dress shopping. Is it just me or every time you have an event to attend suddenly no stores seem to have your size or any reasonable dress options?! I’ve had this happen with multiple weddings and Christmas parties and it never ceases to frustrate me.

Unfortunately for me, neither dress Stitch Fix sent this month worked out. In fact, I’d say this was my worst fix to date. I liked the idea of the items. However, the fit was terrible on every item I received. The saving grace was the necklace. I already own something almost identical, but lucky for you I still kept it so I wouldn’t lose the styling fee. One of you will be able to win it down below! ;)Stitch Fix September 2015 Review & Styling // hellorigby seattle fashion blog

Stitch Fix August 2015 Review & Giveaway

Another month, another Stitch Fix! I always get excited to receive a package on my doorstep every other month or so from Stitch Fix. To recap, Stitch Fix is a clothing service that you can schedule monthly or to fit your schedule. For a $20 styling fee (which is put towards anything you keep) you’ll receive a box of 4 clothing items and one accessory. They pick items based on your size and style profile. It’s always a fun surprise to see what my stylist, Kimberly, has picked out for me. This month I totally spaced it and hadn’t updated my Pinterest Fashion Board with anything from Stitch Fix I’d been eyeing, so it was interesting to see what Kimberly had picked for me on her own!

Overall, I think she did an awesome job, but to be honest, after the #NSale shopping I was feeling a little guilty and decided not to keep anything for myself. However, I did still keep something… but it’s for one of you! Read on to find out what I received this month, and what I’m giving away. :)

Stitch Fix June 2015

Well, it’s that time again. It’s June, and I got my Stitch Fix this month… and it was pretty awesome. I thought I was totally going to screw myself over because I had forgotten I had one last Stitch Fix coming before my big trip, but I was good and didn’t keep everything. :)

I think you know the drill by now, but if you’re new: Stitch Fix is a subscription service that you schedule to come when you want it, or monthly. For a $20 styling fee (which will be deducted from anything you keep) they’ll send you a box of 4 clothing items and 1 accessory item. You’ll be assigned to a stylist that will get to know your personal style based on your Pinterest board(s) and your style profile. I’ve had Kim as my stylist since I started back up with StitchFix and have been so happy with her. Here’s what she sent me this month!

Stitch Fix April 2015

I decided to start receiving Stitch Fixes back in February after seeing some really cute clothes people were receiving. To me, it seems like they’ve stepped up their game in terms of supporting different styles other than a lot of the “mom” type button ups, drapey knit tees, and cardigans I had been seeing over and over. There’s nothing wrong with that, it just wasn’t what I was looking for.

Since my last Fix was pretty successful, I figured I’d try another one. I learned from my last Fix that pinning directly from their Polyvore account as well as keeping my fashion board full of looks that I liked really helps. I also left a few suggestions this month for my stylist, Kimberly, on what I’d like to see. I asked for boyfriend jeans or deconstructed skinny jeans. While they do their best to accommodate, they don’t always have the inventory of every item you may see in your size, so she did her best.

Stitch Fix February 2015

I’m sure Stitch Fix isn’t anything new to you, but if it is – here’s a quick debrief. Sign up for a fix (you can use my link to sign up; if you do, thank you!) You’ll pay a $20 styling fee upfront on shipment. You receive a box containing 5 items based on a customized style profile. You then receive the shipment, have 3 days to try on the goods, and keep what you like, less the $20 fee. If you keep nothing, you do lose the $20 fee. Package it back up in the return envelope, drop it at the post office, and check out online. That’s it. No in-store returns… those are my least favorite part of shopping online! ;)

After my last terrible fix in June, I figured I’d be a glutton for punishment and order another. Why? Because I’m nuts and it would come in time for my birthday. I mean, there’s nothing that screams fun like getting potentially awful clothes, right?

Right!

The good news is that I didn’t end up getting awful clothes. I would actually venture to say that this is the best fix I’ve received. This is based on a small sampling, as I’ve only received 2 others, but I do like to creep on what other people get so I’ve seen quite a few fixes.

Without further ado… onto the clothes and my thoughts. At the end, tell me what you think I should keep – I have one day left to decide and I may be waffling a bit still.

Pixley Colibri Heart Print Tab-Sleeve Blouse in Navy, $48
Oh, petite girl problems. The fit on the left is straight out of the box. I tucked it in on the right and like it much better. I love the print and think it’s fun for Valentine’s Day without being unwearable for the other 364 days of the year.
